  6. Chris, who was responsible for the "look" of Finetastic Computers' store, 
  7. has finally opened his own store.  It's called Icon Computers &
  8. Software, and is located at 955 Pleasant Street in Bridgewater.
  9. Pleasant Street is Route 104, which is one exit up Route 24 from I-495.
  10. They're about 20 minutes from Route 128, and about one mile east of
  11. Route 24, on the left side of the road.  The phone number there is 
  12. 508-697-6060.

  14. Chris did a mailing, using the list from Finetastic (which in turn
  15. includes the lists from The Memory Location and Computer Works).  I
  16. received the card on Wednesday, and visited the store yesterday (Friday).
  17. The current software inventory breaks down to about 1/2 IBM, 3/8 Amiga
  18. and 1/8 Mac.  They have a 1200, a 4000, and a clone in main area, and a
  19. clone and (Toaster-equipped) 4000 with Toaster-related stuff to the side.
  20. They've been open since last Saturday, and are continuing to receive new
  21. inventory.  Their Mac and Amiga prices appear to be competitive, even
  22. with the superstores.  I'm unable to gauge their PC prices.

  24. Chris mentioned that Pete Foley (who maintained Finetastics' presence on
  25. the net) and Rich (who ran Finetastic) will both there starting today 
  26. (Saturday).

  29. On the way back, I stopped by Mindgames, the store started by Don Towne
  30. after Memory Location folded.  He's pretty much dropped the Mac stuff
  31. and is focusing on PC's, including CD-ROM rentals.  Most of the Mac
  32. stuff was on consignment from another retailer, and was selling slowly
  33. (sold 14 titles in 5 months, I believe he said).  His store is at the
  34. Palumbo Liquors plaza at the intesection of Route 1 and Route 27 in
  35. Walpole.  The number there is 508-668-1807.
